
Peter has been Director, Marine and Logistics Policy for 6 years in the SA Department for Transport,
Energy and Infrastructure. Prior to his current position, he has held other senior roles in the SA Government including Director, Strategy and Policy for the public transport office and Manager, Corporate Planning for the Economic Development Authority. Peter worked in Canberra for 9 years before returning to South Australia and working at the SA Department of Marine and Harbours.
Some of the highlights of Peter’s career have included achieving SA Government approval for establishment of the Playford North urban regeneration project, being SA’s representative in the initiation of the Alice Springs-Darwin railway project and being closely involved in the attraction of a significant number of direct container shipping services into the Port of Adelaide.
Peter is a certified Lay Preacher in the Uniting Church of Australia. He is actively involved in his local church, including leading a number of initiatives such as a project that raised over $25,000 of funds to build a medical clinic in West Papua and the successful establishment of playgroups.
As recreational pursuits, Peter enjoys travel, photography, maintaining fitness through attending the gym and outdoor activities including bike riding, walking and sailing.
