Peter Fisher
Peter Fisher was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor in the Supreme Court of South Australia in February 1980.
Peter worked at a number of legal firms during his career. He has worked primarily in the areas of Property Development, Property Law, Construction of Infrastructure with particular emphasis on water re-use and Waste Water Treatment Plants.
During the course of his professional life Peter has been involved in advising all types of organisations including public and private companies, associations, charitable bodies, local and state government, as well as individuals and partnerships. His wealth of expertise means he is aware of and understands the issues that surround all sections of society.
A few years ago he decided to resign from full time legal practice to pursue a number of outside interests. However he has continued to do part time work on a number of projects to balance his volunteer work and hobbies.
Peter has been involved in a number of organisations. Included in these is Accessible Community Housing Inc (formerly known as Wheelchair Accessible Community Housing Association). Peter was on the Board that organisation for approximately 5 years including 12 months as Chair.
In addition he has been, or continues to be a Director of a number of private companies. In the past he has been involved in groups such as committees of management of a Child Care Centre and also in providing advice to the Country Fire Service, Summertown Brigade.
Peter is also the current Chair of the Board of Westside Housing Association.
Peter’s recreation includes walking, snow skiing and sailing.
