China's National Day at Ashman Grove

  

As part of Ashman’s Grove cultural events, we celebrated the 60th Anniversary of China becoming a republic. The residents made ‘Double Happiness Characters’ and decorated the entire Activity Room. A special luncheon was cooked for the day – Sweet & Sour Chicken, Special Fried Rice, and Stir Fried Vegies.

 
 

After watching an interesting documentary about China, and finding out some other interesting facts, we were treated with a demonstration, and then a session of Tai Chi by Meg Hutton (www.taichiforeverybody.com.au)

 
 

This was very well accepted by all attending residents and, some family members also joined in. It was a fantastic day enjoyed by all.
