Christmas Appeal All I want for Christmas is a smile ... your smile ! Does any gift have greater real value than a sincere, deep and open smile? Especially from a wide eyed, innocent child. It warms the heart, feeds the soul and often waters the eyes, but it never fails to touch you deep inside. This Christmas why not also give the gift of a smile on someone else’s face. The UnitingCare Wesley Bowden Annual Hamper Appeal has been helping families and individuals to smile at Christmas for over 80 years. In 2007, thanks to the generosity of yourself and other families and individuals just like you, we provided over 5,100 families with gifts of food, presents and clothing. Christmas is a time for giving, but not just of commercial trinkets. It’s also an opportunity to give yourself. To show deeper compassion. To be more understanding and tolerant. To be grateful for what you have and supportive of those who have less. Can you help again this year?
