UnitingCare Wesley Bowden has been providing emergency relief to South Australian’s for over 150 years. In 2009, we helped 10,000 people through our emergency assistance program. 2000 of those were children.
In 2010 UnitingCare Wesley Bowden sees an average of 40 people per day who are in need of emergency assistance. These include children, families and individuals whose lives are on the edge due to poverty, homelessness, a disability or a life devastating event and often emergency assistance at UnitingCare Wesley Bowden is their last call for help.
Your donation helps to provide them with a food parcel, warm clothes, a blanket and put them in touch with a counsellor as a first step to rebuilding their lives.
To help rebuild a life make a financial donation here or deliver non-perishable food items, clothing and blankets to 77 Gibson Street, Brompton. Toys are also welcome for our Christmas Hamper program, to give a gift to a disadvantaged child at Christmas time.
