Pink Ribbon Day at Ashman Grove - October 2008   This was a fantastic fundraising day for Cancer Research and raising awareness for Breast Cancer. At Ashman Grove, we sold a variety of merchandise to help raise funds including T-shirts [$160.00], and $213.00 worth of pink ribbons and other merchandise. This was a fantastic effort from everyone.   The day was a very pink one indeed. Staff and most residents dressed in pink for the day. We watched the hilarious comedy ‘Hairspray’ in the morning, and in the afternoon we had an afternoon tea where we enjoyed pink strawberry cup cakes. They were served on pink plates and with pink serviettes.  Our slogan for the afternoon was "pink cakes on pink plates" try saying it fast 5 times! |
