Delta Dog Safe Program

On Monday the 14th of February 2011, the Delta Dog Safe Program came to visit Torrensville Child and Family Centre.

The Kindy room enjoyed having the presenter and her toy dogs teach us how to be safe around dogs.

The children learnt how to approach a dog by asking parents permission to approach the owner to see if the dog is friendly.

We learnt how to introduce ourselves to the dog by letting the dog sniff our clenched fist.

The children also learnt various strategies to perform if an aggressive dog is on the loose which the children enjoyed practicing.
