Emergency Assistance

Emergency assistance is available from the UnitingCare Wesley Bowden Principal office at 77 Gibson Street, Brompton to people living in the in the North and West Adelaide metropolitan areas.  
The emergency assistance office is open from 9am to 4pm weekdays. 
There are no appointments made for this service.  Individuals requiring assistance are attended to on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.
Emergency assistance can include:
•    Food parcels from our stock
•    Toiletries
•    Bus tickets
•    Nappies
•    Manchester
•    Telstra vouchers
•    Phone cards
Please note that not all items are available at all times.

To be able to obtain assistance from UnitingCare Wesley Bowden you must:
1.    Live in one of the specified areas listed below

2.    Be registered with Centrelink and have in your possession your health care card or concession card.  The address on the card must reflect one of the suburbs on our Emergency Assistance list. 

Please note that emergency assistance can only be given three times per year per household.
UnitingCare Wesley Bowden can also provide clients with other services including financial counselling, housing, counselling on family, drug or alcohol problems.
