Tax Help

UCW Bowden’s Tax Help volunteer assists people every Friday during July to October to complete their tax return.

People who are eligible to access this service must have an annual income of less than $35,000 (plus $2,500 for each dependent child in the household).
Criteria that may exclude a person from receiving Tax Help are:
•    Run your own business
•    Earn income under a voluntary agreement
•    Receive any royalties
•    Earn income under a labour hire arrangement
•    Receive income from either a public unit trust or a public trading trust
•    Rent out a house
•    Sell shares or other capital gains tax asset
•    Receive any foreign income, other then a foreign pension or annuity.
