There but for the grace of God ...
Our children do not understand the implications of situations like the current global financial crisis. Neither did they contribute to it.
But they will almost certainly be adversely affected by it.
Either directly via unemployment, investment collapses, mortgage repossessions or relationship stress suffered by their parents, or indirectly by the loss of friends and family to these circumstances.
They will also be affected by how the future is currently being rewritten. As health, education and welfare systems lose ground and ‘financial wealth’ is reassessed under new terms it is our children, the next generation, who will be asked to pick up the pieces.
But we can help, and so can you.
Demand for UCW Bowden services has already escalated well beyond both previous years, and our own expectations.
We need your financial help to continue providing simple items like clothing, food, blankets, shelter and support programs.
Your contribution to our appeal will also ensure that UCW Bowden can play a large role in the rebuilding of our State after the current financial crisis has passed.
